Mr. Rodriguez is a seasoned technologist with over 21 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. His product development experience includes transmission, switching, routing, wireless, and consumer products. He has managed all phases of product development and field introduction, including product architecture, systems engineering, hardware and software development, mechanical design, manufacturing test, system diagnostics, system integration, documentation, and field support. Mr. Rodriguez breadth of knowledge and experience is complemented with a strong technical background and excellent managerial skills. He has a proven record in taking products from conception to field deployment (SONET/SDH Switches, IP Routers, Wireless handheld, etc.). While at Lucent Technologies – Bell Laboratories (formerly AT&T – Bell Labs), Mr. Rodriguez made technical contributions in the areas of Echo cancellation, Fault Tolerant Controllers, Test Automation, Digital Cross-Connect Systems (Architecture, Board Design, ASICs), and IP Switch Routing Hardware. Mr. Rodriguez has extensive experience working with contract manufacturers (e.g., Flextronics, Sanmina, Plexus) in the US , China , Singapore , and Malaysia . Mr. Rodriguez left Lucent Technologies to become a co-founder of Broadspider Networks, Inc. a broadband access equipment company building a next generation DSLAM with advanced QoS features and integrated cache capabilities. He served as COO and CTO of the company, and was responsible for business plan development, fund raising and management of day to day operations. Mr. Rodriguez joined Parama Networks Inc. as the Hardware Development Director, responsible for all aspects of hardware development of the 480GMX SONET Switch. His charter included system architecture, all hardware development, system development budget, tools selection, system prototyping, and manufacturing. Mr. Rodriguez’ excellent blend of technical and managerial experience provides strong operational leadership and long-term vision to the team. Mr. Rodriguez is president and co-founder of EnCADIS Design, Inc., a leading edge design services company. Recent projects at EnCADIS include architecture and design of Multi-service SONET/SDH switch supporting 10 Gb/s fiber optic rings and variable rate SONET/SDH and IP data tributaries. Mr. Rodriguez is versed on most modern telecommunications protocols, and has hands on experience with leading product development tools and methodologies. Mr. Rodriguez received a patent for high density backplane interconnect technology, and was co-inventor in two pending patents. Mr. Rodriguez received an MS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, and a BEEE (with honor) from City College of New York, NY.
